yes, it was this horrifying....

OK now that the Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament is over, can we quit pretending that womens’ basketball is on the same par as men's? To put the back-to-back national champion UConn women in the same class as the 1970's UCLA men’s teams with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton, etc., is highly insulting.

I’ve seen my nephew’s 6th grade boy’s team play more inspired than those college gals in the first half of the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME last night. What does that say about the quality of opponents who got blown out all season by UConn? Why do these women roll over and lose by 40, 50, even 70 points? Are they really even trying?

The local state university here had to end the popular men's wrestling and water polo teams to make way for new money-sucking women's lacrosse and women's equestrian teams in order to comply with Title IX. Equestrian!!! Wait, it gets worse: desperate to find women to join the equestrian team, the university recruited an inexperienced young girl who fell off a horse and DIED!!!!!

As if the tragic death of that young girl isn't enough, you will never find a better exhibit for the repeal of Title IX than this year’s NCAA Women’s tournament.

My 2010 Final Four Predictions

Congrats to my alma mater SDSU Aztecs for winning the Mountain West Conference tournament! As much as I'd love to see them make it to the Final 4, it just ain't gonna happen- they are in too tough a bracket. So I'm going with Kansas, Kansas St., Kentucky and Duke with Kansas over Kentucky in the title game. I am least optimistic that Duke will make it to the Final 4 but I sure do hope they do, cuz that'll mean more hours watching hot ass Jon Scheyer (below), yum!
anyways, GO AZTECS!

My Final Four picks

UNC, Louisville, Memphis and Villanova. Now I'm assuming Ty Lawson is healthy so I'm going with North Carolina defeating Memphis in the title game and that hot hunk of white meat Tyler Hansbrough going out a champ.

Aztecs wuz robbed!

ARRRRGGGGHHHH! I am boycotting the NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament this year because my beloved alma mater San Diego State Aztecs (23-9) were completely fucked over by the big fat greedy major-conference fetishists on the tournament selection committee:

SDSU's RPI was the highest among those teams omitted from the field. It also finished one game out of first place during the regular season and reached the tournament championship game of a conference ranked No. 7 in the country.

I am so fucking furious! Only 4 out of the 34 at-large bids went to non-major conference schools, and 2 of those went to teams who came under the 20-win threshold! This is an outrage all-around, fuck the NCAA and it's bullshit tourney!

That said, I'll be posting my Final Four picks soon. Oh hell, not even this travesty can advert me from the excitement that is March Madness. But I'll be pissed off and drugged up the whole time.... which is pretty much how every day is for me now that I think about it. So let this posting be my form of protest! There, take that NCAA!
