R.I.P. Junior Seau

I had the pleasure to see the late great San Diego Charger Junior Seau play live while I was living in San Diego at the start of the century.  He was a local legend, and he will be sorely missed.  I know he did have some trouble awhile ago, after he lost his reality show but by all accounts recently he seemed to be doing fine.  But with depression, you never know. It is such a huge shock. Suicide is never the answer, people! Get help!

Within hours, the Ada County Sheriff’s Department got a report about callers leaving obnoxious, harassing telephone messages with a woman thought to be related to Brotzman.

Then dozens of Facebook pages emerged, some filled with ugly name-calling, jabs and taunts aimed at Brotzman.

ready for another religious rant?

How do fucking idiots like Tim Tebow and Sarah Palin get people to pay them hundreds and thousands of dollars to hear them speak in this country? and hell, Canada too? In the midst of a horrible recession no less?! How can people be so duped into lining the pockets of these ignorant fools as long as they “stand up for what they believe for” and “speak for them”?

Then again people still attend and give money to the appallingly corrupt Catholic Church so I really shouldn’t be shocked at how these fairy-tale religions continue to sucker the sheeple!

Baseball is back, baby!

and not a moment too soon! Baseball is my favorite sport, and no not just because it has the hottest guys (in butt-hugging unis no less!), but because it's a thinking man's sport, not like football, which is the game of and for brutes! Baseball is nuanced while football is dumbed-down enough so it's easily consumed by the masses, especially one Sunday in February when it's a great excuse to feed our fat fucking faces! Ok, ok football is great too (and the one sport I actually played in high school), but it's baseball's time to shine, so check back for my 2010 predictions this weekend!

ok I get why everyone loves Sandra Bullock, she's sweet and cute and a big moneymaker. But to win Best Actress over the best actress of all time, Meryl Streep? For a Hallmarky Movie-of-the-Weekish shit film like "The Blind Side" that was made just so white Christians can feel so proud that one of them actually did good for one of the less fortunate, rather than shitting on the poor and downtrodden that most of them do... yes I'm pointing at you, Teabaggers!

Congrats to Sandra anyways, for winning an Oscar for essentially doing the same scene over and over: go yell at football coach/country club gals/gangsters, whip them into shape and walk away in a tight-ass skirt!

new Heisman Award winner RB Mark Ingram of Alabama is the least deserving winner EVER. This vote was east coast bias, plain and simple. Stanford's beastly RB Toby Gerhart should have ran away with the award, but even 3rd place finisher Texas QB Colt McCoy and 4th place finisher Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh would have been more deserving. and why was 5th place finisher Florida QB Tim Tebow even invited? His vote total was closer to 6th place than Suh’s 4th place! This whole Heisman campaign was just a disgusting SEC lovefest all-around this year.

The Pac-10 conference bears some responsibility for this travesty as well. why didn’t they campaign independently for Gerhart? The lack of a championship game doesn’t help either ok Stanford may not have been in it this year but why don’t they just add BYU and Utah and go Pac-12 already? That would strengthen the western voting bloc in Utah and also Nevada, where many fans of those schools live, not to mention what it would do to help the Pac-10 in the BCS.

Mark Ingram was on national TV the week before the SEC title game, that’s the only reason he pulled it out, even if he did pull a 30 yd. stinker against Alabama’s greatest rival, Auburn, the week before. The lazy-ass east coast voters didn’t happen to catch Toby’s 165 yd, 4 TD performance against Cal, Stanford’s biggest rival, I suppose.

Mark Ingram had the least yards per game by a Heisman-winning RB since Archie Griffin. Pathetic.

Oh well, at least the Doak Walker Award went to the right guy this year......

The San Francisco 49ers are 3-1 and #10 draft pick WR Michael Crapgreed is in town, finally, and I hate to say it but the 49ers really need him. Why?
